In 1990, Charmaine McCuaig began formal studies in Fine Art at Sheridan Collage in Oakville Ontario. She then went on to receive a certificate for Advanced Studies at Dundas Valley School of Art. Over a span of several years she completed numerous courses at the Haliburton School of Art under the tutelage of such talented artists as Steve Rose, Brian Smith, Harold Klunder, Jody Joseph and many others.
Her works have been accepted for numerous juried exhibitions in Oakville, Etobicoke and Hamilton Ontario. Charmaine also exhibited at “Sunset Art Gallery” in Grand Bend, Ontario.
Charmaine McCuaig moves freely from realism to non-objective abstraction and stylized abstraction. Oils and acrylics are her medium of choice with some collage thrown in from time to time. She paints whatever catches her fancy with a common theme of connection or disconnection in her work. Art has been and continues to be her fulfilling passion.
Charmaine is a permanent resident of Stratford, Ontario, a city she loves dearly.
