Denise Nonomura

Denise Nonomura is an award winning pastel artist living in Stratford. She attended Sheridan College of Arts and Design, where she graduated with high honours from the Fine Arts Certificate Program. Denise’s work has been exhibited in over twenty juried international and regional competitions, group and solo shows. Denise’s work is also represented at Village Studios on Downie St. in Stratford. Her work is held in private collections in Canada, USA and Ireland. Denise is a member of Pastel Artists of Canada and attained her signature status (PAC) in 2017. She is also a juried active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and a member of the Society of Canadian Artists.

Denise’s work is representational and the subject matter of her work covers landscape, seascape, still life, floral and figurative. She enjoys teaching group art classes through Gallery Stratford and semi-private drawing lessons at her Stratford studio. She has also implemented an Art Therapy Group where she volunteers her time weekly to share her love of art by leading art sessions with inpatients in the Mental Health Unit at Stratford General Hospital.
