This body of paintings began in September, 2017. To celebrate Canada’s 150th, I paddled 170 km’s down the Missinaibi River, Ontario.  It was the longest and hardest trip I had done.  It turned out not to be a trip, but a transforming, personal, joyful journey.  My life is embedded in my art and paintings made a drastic shift; the human form within nature appeared.  I begin with quick gestural lines to create the human form. While the paint is wet, I begin to almost draw through the paint to create nature wrapping and concealing each form.  They are full of life, energy, movement and imagination. These works are done by stream of consciousness.
