Christy is a mixed media collage artist, currently residing in Shakespeare, Ontario. Through her mixed media collages, she explores the interplay between human emotions and our natural world, guiding people to rediscover a sense of joy, fun, and calmness – feelings that may feel distant in today’s turbulent landscape. Choosing joy can feel like a radical act in a world that is often consumed by negativity.
From a young age, Christy has played in forested areas where the quiet beauty of nature became and continues to be a source of inner peace. As a partially-deaf artist, Christy’s ability to engage with visual expression has provided her with a unique voice, allowing her to create artworks that speak deeply to those who experience them. Having been an artist for most of her life, Christy has begun to share her work, showcasing and selling her creations. Her art is an invitation to slow down, reflect and reconnect with the beauty that surrounds us.
