I have a BFA in photography & an MS in Communications Design, from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. I also have a B. Ed in Art Education from the University of Toronto and am an OCT certified art teacher. I’ve spent the past 20+ years primarily as a graphic designer/mom with a steady flow of illustration, photography and painting on the side.

In 2020, during a very challenging time in the world, our family relocated to my husband’s hometown of Stratford. The extensive break from normal routines, gave me the chance to channel my energy into fine art inspired by the landscape, which in turn gave me an opportunity to join Art in the Park in 2023! I truly enjoyed meeting and talking to so many people last summer and look forward to meeting and talking to many more in 2024. If you stop by my display, you’ll see acrylic paintings again, but new for this year is the addition of watercolours and photography to the mix.

When looking at my photos & paintings, I want people to see our area in a new and different way. To see the layers, lines, textures, intensity, contrast, clouds and colours and then see or feel something that a landscape has never made them see or feel before. I think of my art as a love letter of sorts to Mother Nature and the farmers that make the magic happen all year long in Southwestern Ontario.

If the skies are shifting, the seasons are changing or a storm is brewing, you’ll find me driving the twists and turns on the back roads of Southwestern Ontario, looking for the scenery that makes me want to slow down.
