I have been a self-supporting artist for most of my life and although I am mostly self-taught, I have taken several courses in many venues including forensic sculpture at the University of Oklahoma with Betty Gatlick, and glass carving with the late Norm Dobbins in Santa Fe, New Mexico. After owning and operating a small fun gallery in Stratford Ontario, I devoted my time to art shows and selling online. Over the last 25 years I have participated in numerous art shows in Canada and the United States including the One of a Kind Show in Toronto Ontario, and Arts Beats and Eats in Detroit Michigan.
Most of my time now is dedicated to glass fusing, glass painting, designing and printing in 3d, and teaching. I fuse dichroic glass (glass coated with oxides and metals) into pendants using a variety of techniques and I also do glass painting using a unique painting technique that I have developed. It is a glass-on-glass technique where I am actually painting with glass on glass and fusing (melting at 1500 degrees fahrenheit) it together. This technique allows me to permanently fuse detailed tiny paintings onto glass. My glass paintings and technique has been featured at the Glass Craft Expo in Las Vegas Nevada, and have been published in Glass Patterns Quarterly.
