I grew up in Toronto and re-located to Stratford in 2020. Art, music, and photography have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a self-taught painter and photographer, I have spent thousands of hours exploring and examining every visual aspect of an object or scene such as light, colour, line and texture. I have shown my paintings in Toronto and sold many photographic images through outlets in Toronto and Stratford.
I work almost exclusively in acrylics but have had success with oil and water-mixable oil as well, with canvas being my surface of choice. As many of my paintings are rural landscapes, I have gone beyond paint brushes and added palette knives to my toolbox. I love the texture this type of application can provide. My subjects of choice are landscapes, still life, and candid images of people going about their daily lives.
